تم في هذه الدراسة شمول عشرين مريضا من المرضى المصابين بمرض الانسداد المزمن في مدينة الحلة و الذين تم إدخالهم إلى مستشفى مرجان التعليمي للأمراض الباطنية, حيث أن مرضهم تم خيصه من قبل أطباء الباطنية و الصدرية هناك و بالاعتماد على معايير تشخيص التهاب القصبات المزمن و الذي يتميز بوجود سعال منتج و لفترة ثلاثة أشهر متتالية لسنتين متعاقبتين و بغياب الأسباب الأخرى الواضحة لإنتاج القشع, تراوحت أعمار المرض المشمولين بالدراسة بين 45 و 86 سنة و كانت فترة N- acetylcysteine الدراسة بين كانون الثاني شباط 2007.
تم في هذه الدراسة عمل تجربة بيان تأثير مادة ن- أسيتيل ستين (لبيان تأثيرها على نمو 20 عزلها بكتيرية تم أخذها من هؤلاء المرضى, حيث بينت الدراسة أن 90 % من هذه العزلات لم تنمو بوجود هذه المادة بينما فقط 10 % من هذه العزلات نمت على الرغم من وجود هذه المادة.
Abstract EN
Twenty patients with COPD have been included in this study who were admitted at Mirjan teaching hospital for Internal medicine, where the disease diagnosed by the physicians according to the criteria of chronic bronchitis with productive cough in a period of three successive months in each of two consecutive years in absence of identifiable causes of sputum production with their age group ranged from 45 up to 86 years at a period from January up to February 2007.
N-acetyl cysteine was performed to detect its effect on the growth of twenty bacterial isolates, 90%of these isolates had no growth in the presence of this material, whereas, 10% gave positive growth even in the presence of this substance
