جرى اختیار مجموعتین من مرضى بخمج السبیل البولي كانت الأولى منھم شیوخ بأعمار 95–60 سنة و عددهم 53 مریضا و الثانیة بالغین بأعمار 35–45 سنة و عددھم 25 و ذلك لدراسة أثر الشیخوخة في الذكور على الاستجابة المناعیة الخلطیة المخاطیة للسبیل البولي أثناء الخمج.
لوحظ بأن الخمج أحادي و ثنائي إلا إن الأحادي منه كان ذا سیادة على الثنائي و من بین الممرضات المعزولة كانت سلبیة الغارم أكثر سیادة من إیجابیة الغرام.
و تم فصل الكلوبین المناعي البولي باستخدام متعدد الأثیلین كلایكول 6 % من بول هؤلاء المرضى.
و قد بین تفاعل بكرین الخلیة الكاملة مع الكلوبین المناعي البولي اختزلا بالضد الإفرازي المتخصص في الشیوخ مقارنة بالبالغین و قد تكون شیخوخة الذكور سببا لھذا الاختزال .
Abstract EN
Two groups of human males with urinary tract infections were elected.
First, 53 senescent (60–95 y) and second adulthood (35-45y) to study the effect of male senescence on urinary tract mucosal immune response during infections.
Single and mixed infections were noted.
The single was dominant.
Gram negative rods were the major uropathogens.
Urinary mucosal immunoglobulin's were separated using 6% PEG 6000 D.
from senescent and adulthood urine samples.
Reactions of whole cell bantering with UMIG revealed reduction in specific antibody titers in senescent in comparison to adulthood..
Senescence may be involved in this titer reduction.
