Abstract EN

This study seeks to reveal the masculinity of meta language in the writings of what old Arab linguists left of for this purpose, the study stems from that sociolinguistic hypothesis which states the controversial relationship between language and culture.

Generally, Arabic is considenea to be masculine- as a result of the masculinity of culture, Since Arabic is a masculine language, the language which IS used to describe and analyze it , the (Meta Language) is also considesed masculine.

The study proceeds to investigate texts in Arab linguistic heritage which manifested masculinity sex, and partiality.

The texts used in the study as examples on the masculinity of meta language have covered morphological, syntactic, lexical and semantic levels.
