إن العقد اللمفاوية العنقية هي أكثر احتمالية لإصابتها بالتضخم و خضوعها للخزع النسيجية من باقي العقد اللمفاوية المنتشرة في أنحاء الجسم في جميع المراحل العمرية و خاصة عند الأطفال.
و كان الهدف من هذه الدراسة الرجعية لمعرفة الأسباب الرئيسية لتضخم العقد اللمفاوية العنقية عند الأطفال و مقارنة النتـائج بمثيلاتها في الدراسات الأخرى.
شملت الدراسة جميع حالات تضخم العقد اللمفاوية عند الأطفال و المشخصة في مستشفى الزهراوي و ثلاث مختبرات أهلية في مدينة الموصل خلال عشر سنوات للفترة بين 1993-2002 0 و ضحت الدراسة المعلومات السريرية كالعمر و الجـنس إضـافة إلـى التشخيص النسيجي.
شملت الدراسة مائتان و أربعة عشر حالة موزعة على خماسيات العمر الثلاثة في الطفولة ]46، 72، 96[ على الترتيب، و كانت نـسبة الذكور إلى الإناث : 1 : 1.3و أكثر الحالات المشخصة هي الالتهابات الغير محددة للغدد اللمفاوية ]4.51[ يعقبها التدرن ]5.28[ و اللمفوما ]3 .17 %[.
في الأقطار النامية حوالي نصف حالات تضخم العقد اللمفاوية العنقية أظهرت تشخيصا نسيجيا مهما يستدعي أخذ خزع نسيجية من العقد اللمفاوية.
و أن أكثر الحالات شيوعا هي الالتهاب الغير محدد للعقد اللمفاوية يعقبه التدرن و ثم اللمفوما.
Abstract EN
Cervical lymph node is the most frequently enlarged and biopsies of all peripheral lymph node affecting all age groups including children.
The aim of the study was to find the main cause of cervical lymphadenopathy in children and to compare the result with other studies. This study was conducted in Alzahrawi Teaching Hospital And three private laboratories in Mosul over 10 years period 1993-2002 which included two hundred fourteen cases.
Clinical data including the age and sex in addition to the histological study of the slides were reviewed.
The cervical lymphadenopathy showed distribution of [p46, 72 and 96] within the three childhood's quinquennia respectively.
The male : female ratio was 1.3:1.
The most common histological findings were reactive hyperplasia [51.4] followed by tuberculosis [28.5%] and lymphoma [17.3%] One out of each five excised lymph node show malignant changes..
In developing countries about ½ of the cervical lymph nodes examined show significant and clinically important pathologies, there by justifying an active management of all pediatric patients with persistent CLA.
