Large-scale solar power plants will play an important role in the energy mix of the future.

Under the subsidy schemes for photovoltaic power generation existing in several countries, the installation of large-scale photovoltaic power stations is lucrative for investors today.

Another innovative technology which can be used to collect solar energy directly, are solar thermal power plants for centralized generation of electricity.

Of the various solar thermal power plant technologies, only parabolic trough technology has yet achieved market maturity.

Now it is time to convince politicians and potential investors of its capabilities.
