Abstract EN
Rhinofacial zygomycosis caused by Conidiobolus coronatus is a locally progressive infection of the nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses and soft tissues of the face.
Zygomycosis is the commonest presentation with cases reported from many tropical countries including India.
We describe a case of 52 years old lady who presented to the department of dermatology with erythematous, oedematous nodular painless swelling over the nose, cheeks, forehead and upper lip since 2 years.
The histopathology of the patient was suggestive of subcutaneous zygomycosis with splendore holppli phenomenon.
Biopsy of the lesion showed multiple granulomatous foreign body giant cells and eosinophils.
