Abstract AR
Abstract EN
The present study was done in two experiments, firstly 213, apparently healthy birds of both sexes and different ages were subjected to parasitological survey, and the other experiment was done on Ninety (90) chicks, seven days–old which were reared under Standard environmental and hygienic conditions to compare the effect of some medicinal plants as Allium sativum (garlic) and Artemisia judaica (Shih balady) as an anthelmintic drugs.
The efficacy of each plant was evaluated depended on the clinical signs, the reduction in both Larvae and adulte worms number, the hematological parameters, the biochemical factors and the histopathological picture which revealed degenerative changes in the intestinal mucosa.
In this work, it could be concluded that, garlic and Shih can protect birds from the negative effects of parasitic infestation.
