Reaction of 2-acetamido-3, 4, 6-tri-0-acetyl-2-deoxy-a-D-ghicopyranosy chloride (5) and 4-0-{23A6-tet'»-O^acetyI-P—D-gaIactopjrnmo^)-D-23A6^etia-<>-acet3d-CI-l-broino-I>-glucopyranoside (8) with sodium diethyJaminocaibodithiolate (3) or scum piperidylcarbodithiolate (4) gave the corresponding gh / cosykarbodithiolates, 2-acetamido-3<4,6-tri- O-acetyi-2-deoxy-p-D-j^ucopyranoeyl -1diethylanunocarbodithiolate (6), 2-Acetamido-3^6-tri-0-aceryI-2-deoxy-p^D-ghicopyraiiosyl l-piperidyicarbodjthiolate, (7), 4-0-(2,3>4,6-tetra-0-acetyl-P-D-gaIactopyranosyI)-2,3,6-tri-O-acetyl-p-D-glucopyranosyl-1 diethylaminocarbodithiolate (9) and 4-0-(2, 3, 4, 6-tetra-O-acetyl-p-D-galactopyranosyl) 2>316-tri-0-acetyI-p-D-ghicopyranosyl-1 piperridylcarbodithiolate (10) in good yield.

The structures were confirmed by using elemental analysis, IR, H, C, and 2D NMR spectra.
