تتناول الدراسة الحالية ظاهرة تماثل الأصوات الساكنة التي تظهر في لغة الطفل.
لذا تمت ملاحظة كلام أربعة أطفال أصحاء يتكلمون العربية الموصلية و هم في عمر ثلاث سنوات لتحديد عمليات المماثلة فيه.
أظهرت الدراسة ثلاثة أنواع من التماثل : (أ) التماثل عبر صوت صائت.
(ب) التماثل عبر صوت صائت و حدود المقطع الصوتي.
(ج) التماثل عبر حدود المقطع الصوتي.
أظهرت تحليل البيانات أن الأطفال يفضلون استخدام المماثلة الرجعية بشكل كبير، كما أنهم يستخدمون التماثل الشفوي و التماثل الذي يتدخل فيه طرف اللسان إذ أثبتت الدراسة أن النوع الأخير هو النوع الشائع و المسيطر في هذا السن.
فضلا عن ذلك، لم تظهر الدراسة، و على عكس الأطفال الذين يتكلمون اللغة الإنكليزية، أي وجود للتماثل الطبقي في لغة الأطفال.
Abstract EN
The present study deals with the phenomenon of consonant assimilation that occurs in child speech.
Therefore, the speech of four normal children speaking Mosuli Arabic at the age of three was observed to elicit assimilatory processes.
Three types of assimilation were recognized : (a) across intervening vowel.
(b) across vowel and σ boundary and (c) across σ boundary.
The analysis shows the children’s preference to use regressive assimilatin.
Labial and coronal assimilations are widespread but coronal assimilation is dominant.
Unlike children speaking English, velar assimilation is absent from our children’s production.
