This paper tends to understand the meaning of the employment of the black color in "Umar Ibn Abi Rabia's Poetry" taking in account that close relationship between poetry and other arts.

The paper has two points in consideration: First: The implicit use of the black color.

Second: The manifest use of the same color.

It appears obvious the importance of such employment of the black color and its effectiveness in the close reactions to his personal experience out of which the beauty of the poetic text emerges very lucid.
