Abstract AR
Abstract EN
The present research studies the possessive pronouns in Baghdadi and Mosuli Arabic in an attempt to determine the similarities and differences between the two dialects concerning the type of the possessive pronouns used, their meaning and the reference of number and gender.
The researchers have found that the possessive pronouns in both dialects are alike to a great extent with regard to type and meaning, but they differ in the expression of number and gender.
It is found that the possessive pronouns in Baghdadi Arabic are actually more explicit in expressing number and gender than in Mosuli Arabic.
