The synthesis of some new transition metal complexes with l, 3, 4-thiadiazole-2, 5-dithiol derivatives (Li and L2) as new ligands is reported.
Each complex was prepared by the reaction of the ligands with the appropriate metal salts (CrCl3, MnCl2-4H20, FeCl3, CoCl2-6H20, NiCl2-6H20, CuCl2-2H20, RuCl3, RhCl3 and PdCl2).
Elemental micro analysis (C.H.N.), UV-Visible spectro scopy, 'H NMR, infrared (IR) spectroscopy, atomic absorption, magnetic susceptibility, continuous variation method and molar conductance techniques were used to characterize the structural formulae of these chelate complexes.
