يتناول البحث تعريف و تحليل مبادئ النقد النسوي في الأدب الإنجليزي متطرقا إلى جذوره التاريخية و أهم كتابه من الرجال و النساء.
فضلا عن ربط هذا الاتجاه النقدي النسوي بالتفكيكية و النظريات النقدية الأخرى.
يؤكد البحث على أن النقد النسوي يضم كلا الجنسين من الكتاب و كلا الجنسين من النقاد، بعبارة أخرى يدحض البحث الآراء التي تربط النقد النسوي بالكتابات حصرا أو النقادات حصرا.
هنالك كثير من الكتاب الذكور ممن أسهموا في إغناء هذه الحركة في جانبها النقدي.
و أخيرا، يتطرق البحث إلى أنماط النقد النسوي في الأدب الإنجليزي محللا مميزات كل نمط و أهدافه الفنية و الاجتماعية و الأدبية.
