Abstract EN

This paper presents a sliding mode control with stabilized switching frequency for three-phase four-wire shunt active filter to improve current waveform quality and to compensate reactive power in power distribution system.

The principle is to adapt the hysteresis bandwidth as a function of the equivalent control of the sliding mode control in order to keep the switching frequency fixed and stabilized at a predefined value.

This method permits a robust control and minimizes losses due to the switching frequency variation.

The algorithm used to determine the compensation current is based on synchronous reference frame theory (dq) considering disturbed voltages at the point of common coupling.

Finally, simulation results using are given to validate the proposed control Index Terms—sliding mode control, Switching frequency, Four-wire active filter, Harmonic current compensation.
