العمر التشغيلي المعقول لمحركات الاحتراق الداخلي محدودة لمدى معين بسبب عطل أجزاء المحرك نتيجة البليان و من المفيد معرفة حالة المحرك و أجزاءه بدون الحاجة إلى فتح الأجزاء لغرض القياسات.
هذا البحث يصف إمكانية تحليل معدل البليان أجزاء المحرك (بطانة الاسطوانة، حلقات المكبس و المسند المحوري للمحور القلاب) نتيجة مزيج–الزيت (البنزين.

الكربون) بواسطة تغيير أسطح أجزاء المحرك المحتكة و ذلك نتيجة قلب (الجزء الأعلى يصبح في الأسفل) بطانة الأسطوانة و مسند المحور القلاب.
لقد أظهرت النتائج بأن مزيج الزيت له تأثير كبير على معدل البليان و بأن معدل البليان لأجزاء المحرك قد انخفض بشكل ملحوظ في بعض الحالات وصل إلى 50 % عندما تم قلب بطانة الأسطوانة و حلقات المكبس و نصاف المسند المحوري و هذه النسبة تعتمد على مزيج الزيت.
Abstract EN
The operational life and reliability of I.C.
engines are limited to certain extent by the breakdown of the engine components due to wear.
It is advantageous to know the condition of an engine and its components without disassembling for detail measurements.
This work describes the possibility of employing wear rate analysis of engine components (cylinder bore, piston rings and crankshaft-journal bearing) due to oil-mixtures (gasoline, water and carbon) by changing the rubbing engine components surfaces due to inversing the cylinder liner and crank-shaft bearing.
It is concluded that those mixtures play a significant role in assessing the wear rate of engine components.
Also the results have shown that the wear rate of some engine components can be reduced to more than 50% depending on oil mixture, if the cylinder liner and the crankshaft-bearing are inversed.
(i.e T.D.C and B.D.C are reversed).This was down by modification the cylinder liner to ease inversion of cylinder liner (i,e upper half become the lower and vice versa).
