Abstract EN
This paper explores the importance of the effects of finding one/more component(s) of human face images to recognize their original face images.
Twenty persons were chosen.
For each person, two face images were taken such that the first one must be frontal while the second may not be likewise.
The second was taken after at least one month with the same conditions of the first one.
The right half face image for each face image was stored in order to minimize each of the storage space and the processing time. The frontal half face images and their corresponding important components were stored as databases for the studied population.
The halves of the second images and their components were used as test images for the corresponding database. The human face recognition techniques were applied to detect the identity of the person/persons who related with the tested facial image or with his/their facial components.
Many experiments were used to determine the degree of resemblance or matching between the test images and the corresponding images which were stored in a specific database.
The implementation of these experiments gave interesting and important results in the field of human face recognition by using Pentium(4)-PC and MATLAB version (6.5).
