Abstract EN

The research aimed to determine the water requirement for eggplant by using drip irrigation, microjet irrigation, sprinkler irrigation and surface irrigation systems.

The study showed the following: • The eggplant need not to be irrigated through the April month because the effective rainfall is more than the soil water requirement.

• The irrigation efficiencies were 0.938, 0.842, 0.815 and 0.65 for drip, microjet, sprinkler and surface irrigation, respectively.

• The water requirement was 15,16.688,17.264 and 21.644 L/day for drip, microjet, sprinkler and surface irrigation, respectively, for drip, microjet, sprinkler and surface irrigation, respectively.

• Regarding the surface irrigation as witness we can economize of water in one year for one hectare of 3322 m3, 2478 m3 and 2190 m3 by use drip, microjet and sprinkler irrigation, respectively.

• The irrigation time was little by use microjet, drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, respectively.
