تقدم هذه الورقة حل تحليلي لمسألة بعثرة الموجات الكهرومغناطيسية بقناة مملوءة بمادة كهربائية عازلة ذات شكل نصف دائري أو بيضاوي.

و قد تم وصف الموجات الكهرومغناطيسية المنبعثة و المبعثرة و المرسلة بواسطة اقتران ماثيو المعقد و بواسطة استخدام خصائص الموجات الكهرومغناطيسية بين القطاعات الداخلية و الخارجية, و تم الحصول على معاملات الموجات المتغيرة و المرسلة و كتابتها بشكل مصفوفات.

و توضح النتائج العددية أن وجود مواد كهربائية عازلة داخل القناة يؤدي إلى تغير كبير في كمية الموجات المبعثرة.

Abstract EN

Analytic solution to the problem of scattering of a plane electromagnetic wave by a lossy dielectric cylinder loading semi – circular or elliptical channel is investigated.

The incident, scattered and transmitted fields in every region are expressed in terms of complex Mathieu functions.

Applying the boundary conditions along with the partial orthogonality properties of angular Mathieu functions, the unknown scattered and transmitted field coefficients are obtained and written in matrix form.

The presented numerical results show that presence of a lossy dielectric material changes significantly the echo patterns width.
