In this paper we study closed convex surfaces of revolution in R .
We build a parametric formula for such surfaces using the support fiinction.
The parametric formula is used to deduce the sets of focal points of closed convex surfaces of revolution in R3 as well their diameters.
Properties of a sphere in R with the above parametric formula are used to state the general solution of the ordinary differential equation (y" + ^)((cotx)y + y)~c2.
