Abstract EN
Diaz coupling of 3-amino-1-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one (1) with aryldiazonium salts in pyridine afforded the coloured 3-amino-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-4, 5-dione-4-arylhydrazones (2), which are, extensively, employed as fast dyes for wool, silk, cotton and polyesters.
