In continuation of our interest in the literature survey of natural phenolics and in work on the chemical constituents of leguminous plants, we present herein a survey of flavonoids and is flavonoids from plants of the genus Glycyrrhiza (Leguminosae).

Thus, all flavones, flavanones, isoflavones, isoflavans, chalcones and pterocarpans isolated from Glycyrrhizin species are reviewed in respect of their structures, botanical source and, in brief, aspects of their biological activities.
