Abstract EN

This paper started from the hypothesis that some discourses that dealt with the text of Revelationj although claim modernity, novelty and scientific rationality, are just Gnostic readings, characterized by what the Italian writer Umbreto Eco calls "Hermetic approach to texts." The paper adopted this concept in studying the discourse of Nasr Hamid Abu Zaid, and found out that Abu Zaid's approach was not an interpretation of the Revelation discourse rather than misusing it.

The paper also discovered similarity between Abu Zaid's reading and some old interpretations like esoteric and mystical discourse, demonstrated its false claims of novelty and rationally, and revealed his ideological face that seeks to replace the text of Revelation by a parallel text of secular nature.
