Folklore fashion design is an art created by common people, inherited by the successive generations, adapting them, in accordance with their characteristics, environment.

These fashions reflect some traces of their country of origin.

Based on this assumption the study handled the Yemenite Fouta.

A men’s popular dress in the Southern regions in the Yemenite Republic, as one aspect of aforementioned popular creativity.

Its historical origins and geographic and climatic factors affecting its distribution are studied.

Additionally the research handled the materials utilized in weaving it, the specifications of the manual loom employed in its manufacturing.

The study also addressed the weaving compositions and the decorative approaches utilized in decorating the Yemenite Fouta.
