يتضمن البحث استعراضا شاملا للأوجه المختلفة للأفلاج في سلطنة عمان و منها الزراعة و التربة و مصادر المياه و النواحي الاقتصادية و الاجتماعية.
و من خلال ما نشر عن نظم الأفلاج في السلطنة، ميز الباحث و عرض العوامل التي تؤثر على حيوية و استمرارية هذا النظام التقليدي الفريد لمصادر المياه.
كما يتعرف الباحث أيضا في هذا النظام على مكامن الضعق و القوة في ظل التكنولوجيا الحديثة، بالإضافة إلى أسلوب الحياة و الثروة.
كما يلخص البحث في شكل جداول و رسومات بيانات فنية في المجالات الديمغرافية و الجغرافية و التربة و المياه و الري و نمط المحاصيل و أنشطة المنظمات ذات الصلة بنظم الأفلاج.
Abstract EN
A Bayesian technique is used to approximate the tail probability of the t-distribution.
A set of upper and lower bounds are obtained for this probability.
Based on their simplicity and accuracy, these bounds are very adequate to use.
Some members of these bounds are compared to some existing approximations.
The possibility of using this new procedure for some other distributions is explored.
