تعتبر خلايا الدم الحمراء أو كريات الدم الحمراء أكثر خلايا الدم وفرة.
و وظيفتها الرئيسة هي نقل الأكسجين من الرئتين إلى الأنسجة و نقل ثاني أكسيد الكربون من الأنسجة إلى الرئتين.
و يتناول البحث دراسة وجود هيدروكسي برولين من كريات دم الإنسان الحمراء التي يمكن أن تعطي فكرة دقيقة عن وجود هذا الحمض الأميني في بناء كريات الدم الحمراء و وظيفتها.
Abstract EN
Red blood cells or erythrocytes are the most abundant of the blood cells.
Their main function is to transport oxygen from the lungs to the tissues and carbon dioxide from tissues to lungs.
The present study was undertaken to study the hydroxyproline fractions in the human erythrocytes which might provide an insight about the exact role of this amino acid in the structure and function of erythrocytes.
