Abstract EN

Ferrous Sulfate tablets and syrup were prepared according to the pharmaceutical methods.

Two types of biologically related iron salts, namely ferrous citrate and glaciate were prepared as potential iron supplements.

The quantitative analysis of iron in these samples was determined using two techniques, Atomic absorption spectrophotometery and uv-visible spectroscopy.

The amount of iron was found to be 0.52-0.60 mg in tablet and 0.805-0.840g / 100ml in the syrup respectively.

The percentage of Fe in the two ferrous citrate samples and ferrous glaciate sample were found to be 88.65%, 26.22% and 60.63 % respectively.
