أجريت هذه الدراسة على 12 من الجمال النامية وحيدة السنام بمحطة بحوث مريوط التابعة لمركز بحوث الصحراء (35 كم جنوب غرب الإسكندرية) لدراسة أثر التغيرات الموسمية في الظروف المناخية على قطر ألياف الوبر–سمك غطاء الجسم–طول ألياف الوبر–النسب المئوية للأنواع ألياف الغطاء–دليل النخاع.
كان متوسط عمر الجمال (2.3 ± 16) شهرا عند بدء التجربة و تم أخذ عينات من غطاء الجسم من منطقة منتصف الجانب الأيمن من كل حيوان في فصول الشتاء و الربيع و الصيف لدراسة التغيرات الموسمية في بعض صفات الغطاء مع تسجيل درجة حرارة الجو و الرطوبة النسبية و الإشعاع الشمسي يوميا طوال فترة التجربة لحساب المتوسطات الموسمية و دراسة العلاقة بين تلك المعايير و صفات غطاء الجسم محل الدراسة.
أظهرت النتائج وجود انخفاض معنوي في قطر الألياف خلال الشتاء (0.5 ± 48.5 ميكرون) مقارنة بالصيف (0.5 ± 63.7 ميكرون) و أظهر دليل النخاع نفس النمط من التغير الموسمي (0.9 ± 13.6 شتاء مقابل 0.9 ± 19.2 صيفا).
في حين أظهر متوسط قيم كل من طول الخصلة و سمك الغطاء نمطا معاكسا حيث ارتفاعا في الشتاء (0.05 ± 2.8 سم لطول الخصلة و 0.04 ± 2.38 سم لسمك الغطاء) مقارنة بالصيف (0.05 ± 2.11 سم لطول الخصلة و 0.05 ± 1.86 سم لسمك الغطاء).
كما أشارت النتائج لانخفاض النسبة المئوية لألياف الطبقة الخارجية من غطاء الجسم في الشتاء (4.28 ± 16.03 %) مقارنة بالصيف (4.28 ± 37.50 %) بينما أظهرت النسبة المئوية لألياف الطبقة الداخلية من غطاء الجسم نمطا عكسيا حيث زادت (4.28 ± 83.97 %) و انخفضت صيفا (4.28 ± 62.50 %).
ظهر من تحليل النتائج وجود ارتباط معنوي بين درجة حرارة الجو المحيط مع كل من قطر الألياف (r = 0.71) و النسبة المئوية للألياف الخشنة (r = 0.47) و دليل النخاع (r = 0.54) كما ظهر أيضا وجود ارتباط معنوي بين قطر الألياف و الإشعاع الشمسي (r = 0.45) و ارتباط معنوي سالب بين قطر الألياف و الرطوبة النسبية للجو (r = - 0.40).
أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن التغيرات الموسمية في صفات غطاء الجسم تتوائم مع التغيرات الموسمية في الظروف الجوية المحيطة لتوفير أكبر قدر من التكيف مع البيئة المحيطة.
Abstract EN
Coat samples of twelve growing dromedary camels were collected seasonally from the right mid-side to study the effect of the seasonal climatic changes on fiber diameter, staple length, coat depth, fiber length, and fiber type ratio and modulation index.
The averages of ambient temperature (°C), relative humidity (%) and total solar radiation (W / m) were recorded daily and the seasonal averages of these parameters were calculated.
The lowest fiber diameter was observed in winter (48.5 ± 0.5 / im), while the highest was in summer (63.7 ± 0.5 /im).
Modulation index followed the same seasonal trend (13.6 ± 0.9 vs.
19.2 ± 0.9, in winter and summer seasons, respectively).
In contrast, staple length and coat depth were more in winter (2.80 ± 0.05 cm and 2.38 ± 0.04 cm, respectively) than in summer (2.11 ± 0.053 cm and 1.86±0.045 cm, respectively).
There was a gradual increase in the percentage of the outer coat fibers from winter (16.03 ± 4.28 %) to summer (37.50 ± 4.28 %) versus a gradual decrease in the percentage of inner coat fibers (83.97 ± 4.28 to 62.50 ± 4.28 % in winter and summer, respectively).
Ambient temperature correlated (p < 0.01) with fiber diameter (r-0.71), coarse fiber percentage (r-0.47) and modulation index (r = 0.54).
Correlation coefficient between solar radiation and fiber diameter was (r = 0.45, p < 0.01) while that between relative humidity and fiber diameter was (r = -0.40, p < 0.01).
These results indicate to the conformity between the seasonal climatic changes and camel coat traits to ensure the best adaptation the surrounding environmental condition.
