Abstract EN

New transition metal complexes of the ligand o-' diphenylphosphinobenzoic acid have been prepared in water-alcohol and in water -chloroform media.

Novel manganese (II) and cobalt (II) complexes have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, thermogravemtric analysis and R.

T.

magnetic susceptibility.

Manganese (II) complexes show that the ligand is coordinated through the oxygen atoms only with no sign for the formation of Mn-P bond.

Cobalt (II) complex shows a tetrahedral chelate structure through both the oxygen and the phosphorus atoms of the ligand.
