مائتان و سبع و تسعون عينة قد جمعت من المرضى المراجعين لمستشفى الناصرية العام و مستشفى الولادة و الأطفال في مدينة الناصرية للفترة من حزيران 2005 إلى نيسان 2006.
أوضحت الدراسة أن 129 إصابة كانت بسبب بكتريا بروتيس ميرابيلس و كالأتي التهاب المجاري البولية (% 48.8) 63 إصابة، تجرثم الدم (% 34.8) 45 إصابة و التهاب الجروح و الحروق (% 16.2) 21 إصابة.
أوضحت الدراسة أيضا إن نسبة الإصابة في الذكور (% 59) أعلى مما هو عليه عند الإناث (% 41).
و قد ظهرت أغلب الإصابات في الفئة العمرية الرابعة (الأعمار التي اقل من عشر سنوات) إذ بلغت نسبة الإصابة في هذه الفئة العمرية 31 إصابة شكلت نسبة 24 %، تلتها الفئة السادسة (الأعمار التي تتراوح بين 51-60 سنة) حيث بلغت نسبة الإصابة فيها 29 إصابة شكلت نسبة 22.4 %.
كما وجد من خلال الدراسة إن المضادات الحيوية الأكثر فاعلية ضد هذه البكتريا هي : الكلورامفنيكول 83.7 % و السبروفلوكساسين 79 % تلاهما المضادات الحيوية الآتية : نوروفلوكساسين، التوبرامايسين 75.9 % 75.19 % و 73.6 % على التوالي بينما أبدت بعض عزلات هذه البكتريا مقاومة لمضاد الأموكسيلين و بنسبة 39.6 % تلاه المضاد الأمبيسيلين و بنسبة 38 % أما مضادي الكاربنسيلين و السيفوتاكسيم فقد كانت نسبة المقاومة لهما 37 % و 33.4 % على التوالي.
وجد من هذه الدراسة أيضا إن 12 عزلة من عزلات بكتريا بروتيس ميرابيلس كانت ذو مقاومة متعددة للمضادات الحيوية و منتجة لإنزيم البيتالاكتاميز مثلت نسبة 9.3 % من العدد الكلي للعزلات.
Abstract EN
Two hundred-Ninety seven clinical samples were collected from two hospitals in Al-Nassria city which includes, General Al-Nassiria hospital and Pediatric hospital since June 2005 to April 2006 and found 129 cases was caused by Proteus mirabilis as follows : Urinary tract infections 63(48.8 %) , bacteremia 45 (34.8 %)and wound and burn infections 21(16.2 %).
The percentage of infections in male was (59 %) higher than female (41 %).
The age distribution varied from one day to seventy years.
The peak incidence was between less than ten years(age group -1-) 31(24 %) followed by 51-60 years (age group -6-) 29 (22.4 %).The most effective antibiotics were chloramphenicol 83.7 % and ciprofloxacin 79 % followed by enrofloxacin ,tobramycin and gentamycin, 75.9, 75.19 and 73.6 % respectively, while this bacterium occurred resistant to amoxicillin 38 %, carbenicillin37.3 % and cefotaxime 33.4 %.
In our study 12(9.3 %) of Proteus mirabilis isolates were multi resistance isolates and β-lactamase producing.
