دراسة حبوب اللقاح للجنس Viola L. (viola ceae)‎ في العراق

Abstract EN

The present work comprises comparative palynological study of the species of the genus Viola L.

in Iraq (V.arvensis Murr.

, V.modesta Fenzl., V.odorata L., V.packyrrhiza Boiss.

et Hoh., V.tricolor L.) .

It was clear that the pollen grains of the species V.modesta , V.odorata and V.packyrrhiza were found to be tricolporate and sometimes tetracolporate in the first species while the pollen grains of the species V.arvensis and V.tricolor were found to be tetracolporate and pentacolporate, the present study also recorded the occurrence of dicolporate in V.arvensis.

All the pollen grains had a psilate surface and their sizes had a taxonomic value.

It was clear that the characters of the pollen grains had a taxonomic importance to isolate species under current study .
