نظرا لعدم توافر توصيف معتمد لخصائص و أنواع الكانيولات المناسبة لتجمع عينات من كرش المجترات الصغيرة في الوقت الحالي و عدم توافرها في الأسواق المصرية فقد هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى شرح تقنية جديدة لإدخال و تثبيت كانيولا مصنعة من بلاستك البولي بروبيلين في كرش الأغنام و و ذلك من خلال ناسور بالخاصرة اليسرى للحيوان و قد هيأت هذه التقنية الظروف المناسبة للسماح بجمع العينات من داخل الكرش بواسطة الكانيولات ذات الأقطار المختلفة و التي تم تثبيتها بأحكام من خلال ناسور الكرش لمنع تسريب محتويات الكرش و سهولة متابعة الحيوانات التي تم عليها التدخل الجراحي فضلا عن توفير الظروف الملائمة لعمل الكرش.
تم تركيب كانيولا الكرش بنجاح و بتدخل جراحي واحد على 11 من الكباش تتراوح أعمارها من 3-5 سنوات و عاشت هذه الحيوانات حتى 16 شهرا دون أي مشاكل جراحية تتعلق بالتدخل الجراحي.
Abstract EN
Presently neither the specification of rumen cannula for small ruminants is reported nor is it commercially available in Egyptian market.
Therefore, fabrication of ruminal cannula for sheep and surgical procedure for its implantation are described in this paper.
The device was adapted to allow sampling of entire ruminal contents via cannulas with different diameters, which tightly sealed within ruminal fistula to ensure cleaner, achieve easier nursing of operated animals, and maintain more normal ruminal environment.
The ruminal cannula was applied into the sheep by one-stage operation.
It has been successfully used in 11 ram (3-5 year-old) for 16 months without problems and caused no complications.
