Examination of five hundred pet dogs revealed Echinococcus gra-nulosus in nine dogs, Dipylidium caninum in twenty dogs, and Toxoc-ara canis in thirty dogs.

The risky role played by pet dogs in the transmission and spreading of zoonotic cystic hydatidosis was discussed.
