Corporate governance : a comparative study between the UK and Jordan

Abstract EN

Good corporate governance practices are considered essential elements in the promotion of prosperity and economic growth in all countries.

This study has examined and compared the treatment of corporate governance practices in the UK and Jordan.

Based on this comparison, reforms on how to improve corporate governance practices in Jordan were recommended.

The study embodies five main sections: section one clarifies the objective of the study; section two discusses the definition of corporate governance; section three discusses corporate governance in Jordan; section four discusses corporate governance in the UK and section five presents the main conclusions and recommendations.
