Abstract EN

This study investigated Sa'dallah Wannous's perception of the Palestinian issue in his play The Rape which presents Palestine as the Arabs' core political concern.

In The Rape Wannous portrays his Palestinian and Jewish characters realistically, logically and objectively.

The Play was an attempt to understand dimensions and ills of the Jewish characters and the stubbornness of the Palestinian with its determination to survive despite the engulfing frustration.

The paper also highlighted Wannous's political hypotheses, characteristics of his writing and dramaturgical style, which represented the dedicated and cultivated Arab elite totally committed to the political causes of the Nation.
