This study aimed at identifying and evaluating English Language Curriculum textbooks for the basic stage in Jordan, PETRA two instruments for the quantitative analysis, and the qualitative analysis.
The material of the study consisted of the six reading textbooks of PETRA Series.
The researcher used an instrument which he developed for the concept analysis.
This instrument was revised to incorporate the comments of the twenty two judges who evaluated it.
The instrument included the following criteria: 0 Titled names versus untitled names 2.references to characters and places from different parts of the world 3.superiority in contacts 4.omission.

distortion.
6.
universalization of western values 7.
and stereotyping.
Content analysis was the technique used in this study.
The results showed that the six books of PETRA Series reflected cultural and racial bias in all the criteria of the study.
