Abstract EN
Classical RADAR is no longer effective in some SAM (Surface to Air Missile) stations, beoause it cannot detect modern air fighters.
Abo it is an active unit, so it can be discovered and destroyed.
A new target tracing system was introduced by EISSA-2004, it utilizes the jet engine sound and the electromagnetic emission of the target.
The aoouraoy of this system wasn't good enough, so a computer controlled visual tracing system is introduced in this paper, which utilizes the visual image and the infra-red trace of the target, and consists of several video and infra-red cameras for detecting the direction of the target.
These cameras are conncotcd to a central computer to solve for the intersection of the detected lines, and calculate the position, direction, and speed of the air target passively and Bilently, so the system is difficult to be discovered and destroyed,
