Abstract EN

A numerical study of propagation and interaction of cylindrical shock wave according to internal structure at different blast intensities has been presented.

Implicit-unfactored high-resolution hybrid Riemann solver for two-dimensional compressible Euler equations has been used and modified MUSCL scheme is employed.

The investigation indicated that the resulting flow field can be dominated by complex interacting shock systems due to the complex series of shock focusing events, shock-structure and shock-shock interactions.

Numerical schlieren-type images have been used for understanding the system qualitatively.

The pressure-load distribution and maximum overpressure have been investigated.
