Abstract EN
Basaltic rocks of NE Jordan contain abundant upper mantle xeiioliths spinel Iherzolite, harzburgite, and olivine websterite.
These xenoliths contain olivine, orthopyroxene , olinopyroxene and a few amounts of spinel.
Xenolifjhs carried to the surface by magma of Tel-remah formation did not equilibrate with the melts, indicating that the transport from the mantle to the surface was rapid.
Their mineral assemblages, chemistry , textures and major element abundances indicate as well, that they were derived and equilibrated under upper-martjtel condition within a temperature range from 930 to 1075 .The pressure jas indicated through the stability field of spinel - Uirezolite, is approximately equivalent to a depth of about 66-72 km.
