Abstract EN

A comparative evaluation of the efficacy of montelukast, cromoglyoate and teopec, used in the treatment of BA was done by determination of lymphocyte subpopulations, ooatent of IgG, IgM, IgA, CIC and phagocytic activity, in the blood*f patients.

The study was divided into 2 groups, one group with MiAS and the second group with MoAS.

The control group consisted of healthy children who did not receive any medicine.

Measurements were carried out at the onset and at the end of the course of therapy.

Results were compared to findings in the blood of healthy children.

Before treatment, results confirmed immune disturbance (intersubpopulation disbalance ;of lymphocytes, increased levels of B-cells, IgG, IgM and CIC and depression 'of phagocytosis), an indication of inflammatory immune response.

After the end of therapy with montelukast and cromoglyoate, their optimizing effect on systemic and losjal immunity was noticed (inoreased numbers of general T-cell populations, normalization of IgG and IgM levels, decreased levels of CIC and inoreased phagocytosis), i.p., elimination of inflammatory response.

Teopec had no significant effect on humoral link, but T-cells were increased.

It caused a slow tendenoy towards normalization, but it caused a significant decrease of CIC levels and increased NBT.

' Keywords: Bronchial asthma, montelukast, cromoglyoate, teopec (Levofloxacii'i= tavanio), leukotrienes receptor antagonists.

Abbreviations: Bronchial asthma (BA), mild asthma severity (MiAS), moderate asthv ia severity (MoAS), circulating immune complexes (CIC), test of restoration of nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT test).
