تهدف الدراسة إلى مقارنة الأداء لنظام المصفوفة الشبكي 16×16 عقدة للملتيكمبيوتر و لذلك تمت دراسة العلاقة بيت عدة عوامل مثل عامل الازدحام في الشبكة, Look cycle, معدل الوصول (the arrival rate), معدل الإرسال (the delivery rate), طول البفر (the buffer length), القنوات الاقتراضية (the number of virtual channels) و تأثيرها على فعالية و أداء التوصيل في نظام المصوفة الشبكي المكونة للملتيكمبيوتر.

في هذه الدراسة تم استخدام نوعين من الطبولوجيا لنظام المصفوفة الشبكي هما : 1- mesh topology with adaptive routing of the wormhole type with deadlock.

2- torus topology with deterministic XY routing of the wormhole type with deadlock.

استخدم في نظام المصفوفة الشبكي 256 عقدة لكل نوع.

تمت محاكاة كل نوع على حدة و قد أظهرت النتائج النتائج معدلات و قيم أعلى لمعامل التأخير عند النوع الأول (mesh topology with adapitve routing), منه عند النوع الأخر.

Abstract EN

In this paper we investigate the interrelations of various communication parameters, such as the network contention, the lock cycles, the arrival rate, the delivery rate, the buffer length, the number of virtual channels, and their impact on the communication performance of system area networks (SAN) for multi computer platforms.

The system area networks (SAN)’s under investigation are of mesh and 2D torus topologies with adaptive and deterministic XY order routing of the wormhole type with deadlocks, respectively.

The results of the study show that the values of the maximum and average packet latency for the system area networks (SAN) of mesh topology and adaptive routing are significantly higher than those values of the system area networks (SAN) of torus topology with deterministic XY order routing.
