Evaluation activity of zinc sulphate on wounds healing induced by chemical burning in normal rabbits

This study was carried out to show the effect of zinc sulphate on wounds induced by chemical burn in normal rabbits by measuring the diameter of wound weekly after daily treatment with zinc sulphate (25 mg / Kg / body weight ) for three weeks and compared with control group .Wounds were induced by using hydrochloric acid (80 %) .Rabbits were divided into two groups (6 each group) : control group administrated 3 ml of normal saline orally while, treatement group was treated with zinc sulphate (25 mg / Kg / body weight ) daily for three weeks .The results of the present study indicated that high significantly decreased (p < 0.01) in diameter of wound in addition to hair growing as compared with control group .The results indicated that zinc sulphate can be used to treat burns wounds.
