تم في هذا البحث تمثيل تصرف الأعمدة المتمددة باستخدام علاقة ريتاردسن–زاكي بين السرعة الظاهرية للمجرى الداخل و نسبة الفراغ للعمود في حدود معتدلة من رقم رينولدز.

تم استحداث عاقة جديدة للسرعة.

النهائية و ذلك بإدخال مقدارين تجريبيين و هما القطر المؤثر لحبيبات الحشوة و مقدار سي للحد [(PP-PI)2 / PIµI] لقد وجد أن المقدار الأسي (n) لعلاقة ريتشاردسن–زاكي يتغير مع الحد PI / (PP - PI) و النسبة بين قطر الحبيبة و قطر العمود dp / D.

كذلك تم ملاحظة أنه عندما تكون نسبة الكثافة P1/ (PP–PI) أقل من واحد لم يظهر طور كثيف في أسفل العمود بينما في حالة كون نسبة الكثافة أكبر من واحد ظهر طور كثيف متسارع في أسفل العمود.

Abstract EN

Expanded bed behavior was modeled by using the Richardson-Zaki correlation between the superficial velocity of the feed stream and the void fraction of the bed at moderate Reynolds number.

The terminal velocity expression was developed by introducing two empirical parameters, the effective diameter of the particles and an exponent for the [(ρ P-ρ1) 2/ρ1μ1] term.

The Richardson-Zaki exponent constant (n) was found to vary with the density ratio (ρ_(ρ-ρ_1 ) ) ρ1 and diameter ratio d ρ.

It was noted that when the density ratio (ρP-ρ1) / ρ 1 is less than one, there is no dense phase at the bottom of the test section.

However, for density ratio (ρ P-ρ1) / ρ 1 greater than unity, there exists accelerating or dense regime at the bottom of the test section.
