Abstract EN

In this study, the problem of electromagnetic shielding has been treated in the case of a metallic enclosure, as well as the shielding effectiveness for different materials.

The typical materials used for shielding are the copper, aluminium and steel.

In order to do a comparative study between the different types of materials, the results obtained are presented.

It is shown that materials are not equivalent to reduce electromagnetic fields.

Shielding effectiveness depends on the material’s parameters.

The properties of the material shielding contribute significantly to the efficiency and the distance from the source of disturbance.
