Evaluating the management of educational process in the political science department of the institute for Arab research and studies

Abstract EN

The Institute for Arab Research and Studies (I.A.R.S) was established in 1952 in order to achieve the goals of Arab ism.

The I.A.R.S follows the Arab League Education Culture and Science Organization (A.L.E.C.S.O).

The I.A.R.S is specialized in the higher education of Arab studies and research in various disciplines.

The research goal is to investigate and analyze the I.A.R.S's current process of higher education and determine its negative and positive aspects.

Also, it suggests solutions for problems.

The methods of data collections are archival data, interviews, questionnaires, books, journals and personal observation.

The research area and scope is evalucting the management of educational process in the political science department of the I.A.R.S from 2000 until 2002.

The research consists of three main parts: planning, implementing and evaluating the program of higher education.

Planning requires assessing the current and future educational needs.

There are several sources, such as surveys, interviews, program review and market review.

As for implementing, it consists of determining its goals, lecturers, students, contents, teaching styles and facilities.

Lastly, evaluation is the final stage.

It determines its effectivenees because it measures its actual results against desired outcomes to determine any deviation and take corrective actions.

It takes place before, during and after educational programs.

This evaluation includes students, instructors, the contents and outcomes of programs.
