Abstract AR
Abstract EN
Microscopic examination of urine samples of 240 febrile patients infected with Plasmodium Falciparum malaria revealed a mean urine red blood cell count of 4.5 and mean urine white blood cell count of 7.19 / High power feiled in centrifuged urine.
Microscopic examination of urine samples of 100 febrile patients that have a negative blood film for malaria revealed a mean urine red blood cell count 4.1 and a mean urine white blood cell count of 5.27 / High power feiled in centrifuged urine.
Both groups of urine samples revealed microscopic hematuria and pyuria but these findings were more marked in the urine samples taken from the patients with a posative blood film for Plasmodium Falciparum malaria.
