تمت معالجة 70 مريضا مصابا بالنخالية المبرشقة الواسعة في مستشفى البصرة العام باستعمال عقار الكيتوكونازول الفموي.
قسم المرضى عشوائيا إلى مجموعتين : عولجت المجموعة الأولى بعقار الكيتوكونازول 200 ملغم يوميا لمدة خمسة أيام و عولجت المجموعة الثانية بنفس العقار و لمدة عشرة أيام.
تم أعادة الفحص للمرضى بعد أسبوعين من انتهاء العلاج، تسع و أربعون مريضا أكملوا فترة العلاج.
أظهرت النتائج تحسن سريري واضح في كلا المجموعتين و اختفاء الأعراض السريرية للمرض ما عدا التغيرات الصبغية.
كانت نسبة الشفاء المايكولوجي في المجموعة الثانية أعلى بشكل مهم مع فارق إحصائي واضح من المجموعة الأولى (90 % مقابل 69 %).
سجلت أعراض جانبية طفيفة في 30.4 %.
أن النتائج تؤكد على أن عقار الكيتوكونازول الفموي فعال و أمين لعلاج النخالية المبرقشة الواسعة الانتشار.
Abstract EN
Seventy patients with extensive pityriasis versicolor were included.
Only 49 patients completed the trial.
They were randomly divided into 2 equal groups.
First group received 200mg oral ketoconazole daily for 5 days.
Second group received similar oral dose but for 10 days.
2 weeks following treatment, patients were evaluated clinically and mycologically.
Results showed marked clinical improvement in both groups except for pigmentary changes.
Mycological cure rate was significantly higher in group II than group I (90 % vs.
69 %).
Fewer adverse reaction were reported in 30.4 %.
The findings support the effectiveness, safety and tolerability of oral ketoconazole in treatment of widespread pityriasis versicolor.
