Abstract EN

The objective of the Saudi Arabian Government labor strategy is to sauidize the labor force and to enhance its participation to the utmost.

The saudization plan is considered one of the most important aspects in this strategy.

This strategy aims at benefitting from the potential women labor force by increasing its work opportunities that go in line with Islamic principles.

For this reason , this paper was prepaired to share the planners their views and efforts in laying down new strtegies to activate the role of the saudi working women.

This is made available by analyzing the current status of the Saudi women labor force by utilizing the various aspects in addition to the rate of growth of the population and futuristic development of various social and official sectors.

The study came to the conclusion that the Saudi women role in the labor force is ready modest.

Out of 3627267 women the study found that not more than 5.4% are part of the labor force.

This means that the rate of unemployment is extremely high.

The study also found that female employment is rather concentrated in a one particular type of activity.

Nevertheless, we should admit that there are sincere efforts taken by concerned government staff to overcome this shortcoming.

This necessitates reviewing the plans and educational and training prorgrams subject to the needs of the market.

Therefor, the necessary steps can be taken to improve and enhance the female participation in the work force.
