Abstract EN

This study aims to examine time management for the headmasters & headmistresses of public secondary schools in Al-karak Governorate.

It also aims to show the effect of the scientific degree, sex, and administrative experience variables on time management when performing assigned tasks.

The study sample consists of (80) headmasters and headmistresses of public secondary schools in Al-karak, making up (80%) of the original study population.

The researcher used means and standard deviations to answer question one.

The researcher as well used (T) test and analysis of variance to answer question two.

The following findings were concluded: The headmasters & headmistresses showed a considerable awareness of the importance of time.

This has been manifested through their strict follow up of the working hours per day, the distribution of lessons schedules to all teachers, checking records regularly, and holding meetings on specific times.

There appeared no differences of statistical significance regarding the variable of sex at (a=0.05) The results of the study revealed differences of statistical significance to the variable of the scientific degree particularly in the dimension of Time Planning in favor of those who hold higher study degrees (MA&PhD).

Nevertheless, no such differences appeared in other dimensions.

The results also showed differences of statistical significance to the variable of administrative experience in the dimension of Authority Delegation in favor of those who enjoy (6,to ten years) of administrative experience.

But, there appeared no differences of significance in other dimensions of the study.
