Abstract EN

The paper introduces a proposal of an interworking architecture for the CORBA compliant Object Request Broker (ORBacus) and the Microsoft Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM).

This architecture supports a two-way communication bridge between CORBA objects and DCOM objects.

So, the objects in one system may be able to view the objects of the other system as if they are in their native system.

The implemented Bridge components are discussed and demonstrated.

The experimental results show that the bridge performance is reasonable, and the cost is acceptable comparing to the bridge functionality.
