Abstract EN

The purpose of this study was to investigate the reality of digital libraries in Oman, and study the most important obstacles of administrative, financial, technical and human resources that hinder the establishment of Digital Library Project of Oman. The study found a number of conclusions, including: - Digital libraries of great importance in the reality of libraries and Oman can we infer that there are some attempts to create digital libraries. - Sultanate of Oman Facing, like many countries, some of the challenges at the technical level, legal, educational, financial, and can overcome these obstacles through courage and presence of administrative and pre-planning and ongoing support. .

In the light of these findings some recommendations were presented, as a necessity by the strategic studies and feasibility studies to create a digital library of Oman, and the involvement of the private sector in the implementation of the Digital Library Project of Oman .
